GI School restaurant has a 10 people dedicated to the service of cooking for the educational institution. It serves approximately 90% of the student body and institutional staff. It also provides the snacks from K2 to 2nd grade students. The restaurant staff is also in charge of the catering for the special events held during the school year.
The service is supported and has the guidance of Dr. Shirley Mejía López, specialized in nutrition, and she helps by following to the tandards of lunches and snacks up, and to those particular cases that require special support, such as special diets due to treatments or diseases and allergies, and a close nutritional guidance in cases that parents or teacher request for it, or by medical recommendations.
The majority of menus have alternatives to bring variety to the clients. There is a salad bar and it is served fruit as option twice a week. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday is offered option of flavored milk as beverage and several sauce options to accompany the meals. There are delicious and varied deserts daily.
