The services of Phonoaudiology and Occupational therapy play an important part of the Support Group at GI School. Their mission is to offer orientation, evaluation and therapeutic intervention to students at all stanges of development, covering the four sections at the school, preschool, primary, middle school and high school.
Among our main features we offer support and advice to the educational community (students, parents, teachers and coordinators) in identifiying and treating at-risk students or with other difficulties that may affect their academic performance. We then provide the necessary information and therapy to guide them and assist them in overcoming their difficulties.
These two services take the form of various programs and activities from early stimulation, simulation of psychomotor skills, speech therapy, special attention for children with learning difficulties or attention deficit, through to management of inadequate study habits and stimulation of abilities in thinking, memory and problem-solving amongst others.
Brain Gym, sensory integration, scents, water, colors, textures, books, stories and attractive and motivating didactic material all stimulate the children and youth of our institution to strengthen and enhance their learning for life.
