The curriculum of GI School reflects the needs ans aspirations our community . Its desing is guidedand regulated by the school mission, visionand goals, by the developmental levels of the students, as well as by the requirements of Colombian law and AdvencEd standards.
The curriculum guides for each course includea course description, a defined set of contents organized by units, a list of standards and benchmarks for each term, and the list of required and/or suggested resources. Standards and benchmarks are in place for each subject area and benchmarks when desingninguntis and lessons plans and assessments.
In addition to the academic course of study. Our curriculum provides several opportunities for the expansion and integration oflearning, the application of knowledge, the development of leadership skills, social responsibility, and personal growth. After-school sports, integranted projects in preschool sncience fair projects, field trips, senior research projects, the media group, United Nations model, Young Leaders Forum, etc., are examples of this emphasis.
The curriculum office works closely and permanently with the teachers in the
revision and updating of the curriculum to better meet the needs of students, keep abreast of the latest educational trends, and be consistent with the school mission, vision and learning expectations.
